Expertise: Democratization, Civil-Military Relations, Human Rights, China-Latin America relations

Isabel Bernhard is an incoming Master’s candidate in Latin American Studies at Oxford and recent graduate of Harvard College. She wrote her senior thesis on Argentina and Brazil’s democratic consolidation in the 1980s and 1990s, and possesses fieldwork and internship experience across both countries and El Salvador. At ASP, Isabel is excited to be part of the newly established Latin America program.
