Florida has more than 20 national security facilities with critical missions for national security. Home to U.S. Southern Command (USSOUTHCOM), U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM), and U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), as well as many others, any disruption in operations can have a truly global impact. As such, its important to understand the resilience measures happening across the state. […] Planning for climate change is important in the Pacific area of operations because it will fundamentally alter the operating environment in ways which will cause harm to the national security of countries around and within the Pacific. However, planning for climate change in the region is also important because the other countries in the region perceive it as important.
