ASP Congratulates Cultural Diplomats Della Mae on their Grammy Nomination
Last year, ASP hosted the all-female bluegrass band Della Mae, discussing their cultural diplomacy trip to Central Asia.
This year, Della Mae’s The World Oft Can Be is up for a Grammy for best bluegrass album. Judging by what we heard, what we saw, and what we learned from Della Mae as they recounted their American Music Abroad tour of Central Asia, this is no surprise. It is certainly well-deserved! Della Mae has demonstrated that they are not only exceptional musicians, but exceptional cultural diplomats as well. They represent some of the finest talent this country offers, and set a great example for audiences at home and abroad.
We at ASP would like to congratulate these women on their achievement and wish them the best at the Grammy Awards this Sunday.
