Shannon Moore is an M.A. candidate in Security Studies at Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. Her research focuses on intelligence analysis and policy, particularly the intersection of counterterrorism operations and human rights. She hails from San Diego, CA, where received her BA Honors in International Relations from the University of California San Diego (UCSD).

Prior to moving to Washington, D.C., Shannon had to opportunity to work at several different organizations, including the San Diego Diplomacy Council and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). These experiences helped to shape her view of the world, and instilled in her the importance of diplomacy and analytical thinking. She is a Parks and Recreation aficionado, a longtime vegetarian (of which Ron Swanson would, regretfully, disapprove), and a lover of pantsuits.
