Olga Belogolova

Olga Belogolova is a strategic communications professional with expertise in Europe and Eurasia and information warfare, who advises individuals, companies, and organizations across different sectors. She has worked on US-European public diplomacy initiatives at the State Department, including efforts to counter violent extremism and Russian propaganda, and helped formulate policy toward Russia/Eurasia at the Department of Defense.

Olga previously worked as a reporter and editor, covering Congress, energy policy, and defense policy, reporting from DC and abroad. She has reported on fellowships with the Knight Foundation, International Center for Journalists, and bilateral programs from Jordan, Japan, and Russia. Her work has appeared in National Journal, The Atlantic, Inside Defense, and The Globe and Mail, among others. She collaborated with Alec Ross, former Senior Advisor to Hillary Clinton, on his 2016 book, “The Industries of the Future.”

Olga holds a Master’s degree in Strategic Studies and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and European Studies from Boston University.  She is a security fellow with the Truman National Security Project.
