The Biden Administration has the ability to use its existing trade policy toolkit to achieve national net-zero carbon emissions goals while simultaneously enhancing national security and economic objectives. ASP has conducted an analysis of aluminum production as potential case study in how relief from existing Trade Expansion Act (TEA) Section 232 tariffs can enhance national security, facilitate achievement of national climate goals, and facilitate low-carbon aluminum industry growth.
