ASP Senior Fellow Dr. Evelyn Farkas Serving As International Republic Institute Election Observer in Afghanistan

Washington, DC – American Security Project (ASP) today announced that Senior Fellow Dr. Evelyn Farkas, former Executive Director of the Commission on the Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction Prevention and Terrorism is currently serving as an International Republican Institute election observer in the August 20th election in Afghanistan. Dr. Farkas is blogging daily on ASP’s Flash Point Blog (https://www.americansecurityproject.org/theflashpointblog/) with her observations and thoughts on the election, and is available for interviews and comments. Members of the International Republican Institute’s election monitoring delegation include observers from Canada, Poland, Serbia, Ukraine and the United States.
