On Friday, May 3rd, COO of ASP Andrew Holland was cited in an article from High North News discussing Russia’s recent military and economic developments in the Arctic.

The article considers two military bases (Nagurskoye and Temp Air Bases) as well as two economic projects (Yamal LNG plant and Arctic Gate terminal), which have recently experienced significant expansions.

Questioned about the function of the Air Bases, Holland explained how they mainly serve a strategic purpose:

“The larger military outposts are meant as an easy form of saber rattling, as well as a way to provide protection for the very large amount of investment into the Northern Fleet, based out of Murmansk.”
