Alex Allaire is the Co-Founder and CEO of the American Blockchain Initiative (ABI), where he leads strategic outreach to Congress and federal agencies on blockchain and digital asset policy. At ABI, he played a key role in helping introduce the CLARITY Act, bipartisan legislation aimed at countering adversarial state-run blockchain infrastructure. Alex also authors daily policy briefings for U.S. government officials and regularly organizes briefings and roundtables on topics like blockchain technology, cryptocurrency policy, and central bank digital currencies, bringing together lawmakers, regulators, and leading think tanks.
Before founding ABI, Alex was an Industry Affairs Associate at the Blockchain Association, where he built strategic partnerships and deepened industry engagement on Capitol Hill. He also served as a FinTech & Blockchain Policy Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives under Majority Whip Tom Emmer, contributing to multiple pieces of digital currency legislation. Alex studies Political Science from American University where he focuses on the intersection of technology, American government, and national security.
