Savarni Sanka is a senior at Wake Forest University completing her bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a double major in Spanish and a minor in Middle Eastern StudiesHer research interests include migration policy, conflict resolution, and democratic backsliding in Latin America and the MENA regionSavarni hopes to delve deeper into these fields during her time at ASP and next fall, when she will begin her graduate studies at Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar 

In her free time, Savarni enjoys watching Spanish-language TV shows and baking desserts for her friends and family.
