Rose Blanchard is a graduate student at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs, specializing in International Security. Her previous work has included time spent at the Wilson Center doing Cold War research, as well as an internship at State Department in the Bureau of Arms Control, Verification, and Compliance. She is currently working on a thesis project exploring security concerns regarding Russian ethnic minorities in Estonia, and has written and presented papers on climate change in Central Asia. She has a background in international security and Russian studies. She received her BA in Political Science and Russian Studies from Vassar College in 2013 after studying abroad in Saint Petersburg.
