ASP President BGen Stephen Cheney, (Ret.) USMC published an Op-Ed for The Hill on July 5th, describing how America’s leadership in the fight against climate change will determine its global stature.
Cheney outlined how a collaborative effort of the U.S. with other countries will diminish conflict caused by climate change.
“Already, tensions have increased over water rights between China and India. Unanticipated resource allocation by climate change is a real danger to world peace.”
He also stressed the need for the U.S. to counter China’s aggressive climate diplomacy through American investment and ingenuity.
