This week, ASP’s board of directors appointed Matthew Wallin, Senior Fellow for Public Diplomacy, as the new Chief Operating Officer. Wallin’s long-term dedication to the organization, expertise in national security issues, and extensive administrative experience will enable him to help guide the strategic direction of the company over the years to come.

In announcing Wallin’s promotion to COO, ASP’s President, BGen Stephen A. Cheney, USMC (Ret), stated:

“As ASP expands its staff and launches new research and programming, Matthew’s leadership and experience will be instrumental in our success.”

Upon assuming the new role, Wallin said:

“I’m delighted to undertake these new responsibilities and continue my service to ASP’s mission of providing fact-based, non-partisan, strategic national security analysis. These days, the importance of building consensus around our national security interests has never been more clear, and I’m proud to serve an organization so dedicated to tackling the challenges of our time.”

As ASP transitions into this new period of leadership, keep an eye out for upcoming announcements on new programming and research.
