Sarah LawrenceClimate Security Intern

Expertise: Climate Security, Global Health, Women’s Role in International Development

Sarah Lawrence is a junior at The George Washington University, pursuing a Bachelors of Science in International Affairs and Public Health. Through her schoolwork, Sarah has gained a great interest in the intersection of health and climate change and seeks to work in the global health field tackling these issues upon graduating.

Prior to interning at ASP, Sarah was a Policy Intern at the Office of the Staten Island Borough President, working alongside the Deputy Chief of Staff on a project to connect constituents with mental health resources. She was also an Intern with Set Her Free, a non-profit helping women gain financial independence in Kampala, Uganda. At Set Her Free, Sarah gained insight into the positive effect addressing issues of women’s equality has on international development.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys dancing, learning French, and listening to podcasts.
