Expertise: Nuclear Security, National Security Policy, Transnational Security, Iran, and North Korea


Joshua is currently working as a Foreign Affairs Officer on the Pakistan desk, which is in the Office of the Special Representative to Afghanistan and Pakistan at the State Department. He currently covers portions of the political-military and political teams’ portfolios. Joshua is also a recent graduate from the Elliott School of International Affairs’ masters program, earning a degree in Security Policy Studies with concentrations in Transnational Security Issues and U.S. National Security Policy and Process.

Prior to his graduate studies, Joshua earned his bachelor’s degree at an American university in Switzerland. During his time as an undergraduate, Joshua was able to travel to over thirty countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, and North and Sub-Saharan Africa. Joshua is originally from the Bay Area in California.
