Jeffrey LloydAs a recent graduate from James Madison University, Jeffrey Lloyd will be ASP’s Egyptian relations intern. At JMU Jeffrey studied international affairs with a concentration in the Middle East, and earned a minor in Arabic. His initial interest in the region was sparked after being awarded a competitive scholarship through the State Department to Study Arabic in Alexandria, Egypt during the summer of 2010. Since then he has traveled to Beirut, Lebanon further developing his interest in the language and culture of the Middle East.

Last year Jeffrey had the opportunity to work as the Research Assistant for Pherson Associates, LLC., a consulting firm for the intelligence community. Prior to that he interned on the Hill for Virginia Senator Mark R. Warner, working closely with the national security team.

Jeffrey is an individual who prides himself on a good work ethic and aspires to one day become a leading expert on the Middle East.
