A native of Geneseo, New York, Fiona completed her B.A. at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in 2011. She majored in Comparative Social Movements, which focused on China and Spain. In addition, she completed a minor in International Relations, and studied abroad in Spain and China, learning about the history, culture, and languages of both regions. During her time in school, Fiona worked as an intern and translator with various migrant outreach organizations in New York State.
Following graduation, Fiona entered Syracuse University’s Public Diplomacy program, a dual M.A. /M.S. program focusing on International Relations and Public Relations. In the summer of 2012, she participated in a global internship at an international HR company in Shanghai, China. After completing her master’s degrees in May 2013, Fiona plans to specialize in U.S.-China relations and pursue her interest in intercultural communication issues.
