Expertise: Irregular warfare, national security policy, Middle East/North Africa region
Elizabeth Deal is a senior in the Elliott School of International Affairs at George Washington University where she is majoring in international affairs and concentrating in conflict and security. She specializes in North African regional security, intelligence policy and American diplomatic history.
She has previously worked for the Industrial College of the Armed Forces at National Defense University where her research focused on counterinsurgency, economic sanctions and national security strategy.
