Aaron is originally from Nebraska, growing up Manhattan Kansas and Omaha. He received his Bachelor’s degree in POLS and HIST from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

After college, Aaron took some time off from school to work. He worked in North Carolina for four years as a counselor at a therapeutic wilderness program for at-risk youth. After North Carolina, he was in South Korea for a year as an English Teacher and traveled through China and SE Asia for a year before getting accepted to the International Relations Master’s program at the American University in Cairo. (He did make it to Everest base-camp in May 2010, before heading back down and off to Cairo.

Aaron has spent the last two years living in downtown Cairo, working on his Master’s thesis on the Iranian nuclear program and experiencing the Arab Spring first hand. He currently resides in Prague.
