Matt McNabb is the co-founder and CEO of First Mile Geo, a cloud-based business intelligence venture that enables users to collect, map, analyze, and collaborate over data in any language, easily across the enterprise.

Prior to First Mile Geo, Matt served as Principal & Vice President at Caerus, a DC-based strategic consulting firm that works in the international development, defense, and corporate risk management sectors, where he oversaw a business unit focused on leveraging innovative technologies for use in those sectors. Before joining Caerus, Matt founded and led a transnational research organization with offices in London, Washington, and Islamabad that employed in-depth field research teams in some of the world’s most dangerous places to derive strategic insights in the risk management and defense sectors. Matt has also advised on and managed market entry and diversification for a federal criminal defense firm into the national security, international extradition, and transnational criminal defense markets.

Matt has advised a range of multinational corporations, investors, and senior government officials in the United States, United Kingdom, and international organizations, as well as having overseen field research efforts in the tribal areas of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Nigeria, Liberia, Yemen, and the Balkans, among others.

In addition to his role at First Mile Geo, he serves as a Member of the Board of Advisors for TechChange, a tech startup that provides multi-user online courses (MOOC) in the use of ICTs for international development and on the Board of Directors of Epirroi, a Beirut-based corporate risk management firm.
