U.S.–Russia Relations Intern

Expertise: U.S. National Security, Russian Culture and Politics

Sarah Illis is an undergraduate at the University of New Haven studying National Security. She has spent two semesters abroad in Italy to continue studying international relations and foreign policy.

Last summer, Sarah participated in Middlebury College’s immersion language program where she studied Russian. She has previously interned on a congressional campaign in New Jersey where she participated in research and wrote memorandums about current events regarding Russia and NATO. Her research interests include comparative politics and the power dynamic between Russia and post-Soviet states.
