Climate and Energy Security Intern
Expertise: Paleoecology, Genetic Engineering, Climate Change, U.S. National Security
Nicholas Cropper is a recent graduate from the University of South Florida where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology. As an undergraduate, he did paleolimnology research studying the ecological impacts of human development on a chain of lakes near Orlando.
As an intern at ASP, Nick will delve into the impact climate change will have on military resiliency as well as the downstream effects of ecological degradation. The U.S. will have to contend with novel economic and national security challenges as the planet warms. Understanding and preparing for those challenges will be a key focus of Nick’s work.
