Martha Christino holds dual B.S. degrees in Civil Engineering and Atmospheric Science with honors and a minor in Military Studies from Penn State University, where she graduated as valedictorian of both degree programs. Her undergraduate research focused on prediction of hurricane intensity fluctuations, sea surface temperature anomalies, and solar irradiance measurements for power generation.
Martha’s main interest is the intersection of climate and national security, especially as it pertains to resiliency. She created her dual degree program to understand both the causes of environmental change and the physical vulnerabilities of infrastructure.
Outside of work Martha enjoys running, hiking, and traveling.
