Laith Agily is a recent graduate from the University of Southern Mississippi. He majored in Political Science and minored in Human Rights, with an emphasis on International Relations. After completing his degree, Laith interned with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Cairo, Egypt, where he worked with the office of Refugee Status Determination.  Subsequently, this further encouraged him to continue his work with refugees on the island of Lesvos, where he traveled soon after the completion of his internship with UNHCR. He stayed on the island for five months, assisting the StarFish Foundation in rescue operations, managing a camp that temporarily housed refugees and acting as a liaison between NGOs that were operating on the island.
