Caroline Steel graduated from Durham University (UK) with a 2:1 B.A. in International Affairs, Arabic, English Literature and Philosophy. She studied Arabic at the French Embassy’s Institut français du Proche-Orient (Ifpo) in Beirut, where she spent time backpacking the Lebanese Mountain Trail to collect data for research on sustainable development. Caroline’s academic studies focused around the application of Securitization theory in the 21st Century Caucuses, International Political Theory, and the mapping of mind-philosophy to the study of emotion in political psychology.

She currently works as a digital strategist and web developer at BADLab Brand & Design, integrating tech skills with lateral problem-solving.

Caroline previously interned with the Maryland Democratic Party and Kuwaiti Embassy Cultural Office, as well as several other organizations in a marketing and analytical capacity. She speaks Spanish, Arabic, and some Russian.
