Ariana Mirzakashani
is a recent graduate from Smith College, with a major in Economics and a minor in Middle Eastern studies.  Ariana’s research focuses on the economies, political systems, regional ambitions, and stability of countries in the Persian Gulf, particularly Iran. She also has experience working with young refugees and immigrants to the United States.

Ariana completed the General Course at the London School of Economics with a focus on public economics and the Persian Gulf. She is also a graduate of the Public Leadership Education Network’s (PLEN) Women in Global Policy Seminar, which provides exemplary young women leaders with real-life experience in the policy area of their choice. Her previous professional experience includes positions in wealth management, personal economics, and stakeholder engagement with Fidelty Investments and Tyco International.
