BCAS Member General Fusion Receives Support from Trudeau
During his remarks at international clean energy conference GLOBE 2016, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau called ASP Business Council for American Security member and Chair of the Fusion Advisory Committee General Fusion, “one of the most exciting things in clean energy.”
As a recent Burnaby Now article points out, Trudeau visited General Fusion’s facility last summer while on the campaign trail.
General Fusion has been featured in Time Magazine and Scientific American, among others, in recent months for its leading work in achieving fusion energy. Nathan Gilliland, the company’s CEO, was a signatory to ASP’s letter in support of the Nuclear Energy Innovation Capabilities Act. HR4084 passed with unanimous consent on February 29, 2016.
