David L. McGinnis

David L. McGinnis is an accomplished independent analyst of national security and homeland security issues. A Veteran of two combat assignments in Vietnam, with a Special Operations and Force Management background, Dave experienced 29 years of service in the Army uniform. His military career ended in 1995 as a Brigadier General, New York National Guard. After retirement he worked as a Principle Director for Strategic Plans and Analysis, in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and as the Senior Fellow of the National Guard Association of the United States. Since 2000, McGinnis has provided a steady stream of independent analysis on important issues, provided commentary in the national news media and served as a Senior Associate with the Center for Strategic and International Studies.
