Susan E. Rice

Dr. Rice is Senior Fellow in the Foreign Policy Studies Program at the Brookings Institution. Previously, she was senior advisor on national security to the Kerry-Edwards campaign; Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs (1997-2001); Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for African Affairs at the National Security Council (1995-1997); and Director for International Organizations and Peacekeeping at the National Security Council (1993-1995). Dr. Rice has also worked as a Consultant for McKinsey and Co.
